I Confini - Langhe Nebbiolo (Designation of Origin Controlled)
Grape Variety: 100% Nebbiolo
Vinification: Aged first in stainless steel tanks, followed by oak barrels, and finally in bottles to ensure quality.
Bouquet: Aromas of small red fruits, spices, leather, and a subtle hint of oak.
Taste: Full-bodied, fresh, with balanced tannins.
The name "I Confini" (The Borders) reflects the unique location of Traversa 1816's vineyards, positioned at the intersection of four provinces: Asti, Alessandria, Cuneo, and Savona. This wine’s structure and elegance make it a versatile pairing for a wide variety of dishes.
Tasting note Robin Fennis: “Typical Nebbiolo; pale red, translucent. Impressions of tar, olive, violet, and dark fruit. 12m French oak. Med+ acids and tannins. Dry and balanced in line with the nose, impressions of mint and herbs on top. Surprisingly elegant and smooth. Very good. 16 pts out of 20”
