Tasting Notes: This Langhe Nascetta displays a beautiful straw-yellow color with golden hues. The nose is intensely aromatic, featuring floral notes of acacia flowers, fruity hints of apple, grapefruit, tropical fruits, and a touch of honey. On the palate, it is fresh with a pleasant salinity, complemented by a background of citrus notes.
Curiosity: Nascetta is an indigenous, semi-aromatic variety native to the Barolo area. Nearly lost to extinction, it was revived about 15 years ago, bringing its unique character back to the vineyards.
Tasting note Robin Fennis: “Nascetta, a native Piemonte grape, in rebound in recent years. This is pale yellow with a greenish hue. Impressive of pear, lime, unripe apple, melon. Med+ acids, bitters present, fresh appearance, fully dry. Quick winemaking process; after 1,5 hrs direct pressing to retain freshness. It worked, imho. 15 pts” (November 2024)
