Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon – Bordeaux Supérieur – France
Le Pavillon de Trianon Red (2020) is a "wine of pleasure" designed to express the very best of the Bordeaux terroir. This generous blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon is distinguished by a deep ruby-red color with purplish hues. The nose is expressive, revealing beautiful aromas of red fruits and mild spices. On the palate, the wine offers a lovely silky texture, generous fruit expression, and subtle tannins, all supported by a perfectly balanced structure.
The 2020 vintage is an indulgent and approachable expression, meant to be enjoyed at any moment. Thanks to 9 months of ageing in one-year-old oak barrels, it combines roundness with character. It pairs beautifully with red meats, poultry, or a platter of fine charcuterie.
About the estate Château Trianon has deep historical roots dating back to the 17th century and is located just outside the medieval village of Saint-Émilion. In 2000, the estate was purchased and revitalized by Dominique Hébrard, former co-owner of Château Cheval Blanc. Under his direction, Trianon has been transformed into a domain of precision and elegance. The parcels dedicated to Pavillon de Trianon, located on the hills overlooking Lestiac-sur-Garonne and Rions, benefit from clay-limestone soils that give the wine its characteristic structure and freshness.
