Aroma
Refined and complex bouquet of ripe cherry, blackcurrant, dried herbs, cedar, leather and tobacco. Subtle notes of balsamic, vanilla and sweet spice from oak aging lift the nose.

Palate
Medium to full-bodied with layers of dark fruit, earth, and spice. Tannins are polished and integrated, giving structure without heaviness. Long finish with lingering notes of graphite, dried flowers and a touch of bittersweet cocoa.

Aging & Expression
Aged in French and Hungarian oak for 14–16 months, then further matured in bottle. Now over two decades old, the 2001 shows beautiful tertiary development, yet remains vibrant.
