Producer detail
San Filippo Brunello di Montalcino Le Lucere is ruby red with glints verging on garnet. The aromas are intense, fine, and elegant, with notes of cherries preserved in alcohol, and enriched with spices like cinnamon and cloves. On the palate, the wine explodes in all its fineness and elegance thanks to the dense and silky tannins. An excellent body that renders the flavor harmonious and persistent. Excellent nose-palate harmony.

Ratings
98 points -  James Suckling Aromas of crushed raspberries, cherries, and blackberries expand on your senses. There are also freshly sliced mushrooms, wet earth, and bark. It's full-bodied, with an incredible depth of fruit and a savory, salty, almost grilled meat character. Layers and layers of fruit and tannins. A truly great wine. Better in 2020.

96 points - Robert Parker The Wine Advocate San Filippo makes an impressive statement in 2010. The Brunello Le Lucere is one of the protagonists of the vintage and is a wine that captures a rare side of the Sangiovese grape. It is explosive, powerful, and rich. Like the other great wines of the vintage, this Brunello proves the potential of everyone's favorite Tuscan red grape.
