Pinino’s Brunello di Montalcino 2020 is a classic expression of Sangiovese Grosso grown in the hills north of Montalcino. A wine that reflects the diversity of its terroir and the craftsmanship of the winery. Aged for at least 30 months in oak, this Brunello shows remarkable balance, intensity and finesse.
Tasting profile
Expect deep aromas of blackberry and plum, supported by gentle spice notes from extended aging in oak. On the palate, it’s full-bodied and velvety with soft tannins and a long, elegant finish.
Vintage
2020 brought cooler-than-average winter temperatures, followed by a warm spring and rainy June. The rest of the summer was dry, with welcome day-night temperature differences in September. The late harvest yielded grapes with the ideal balance between aromatic complexity, phenolic ripeness and freshness.
