Jean Touzot, Mâcon-Cruzille ‘Les Parettes’ Blanc 2021, Burgundy, France
A fresh and expressive white Burgundy from the underrated village of Cruzille in the northern Mâconnais. Jean Touzot crafts this cuvée from sustainably farmed vines on limestone soils, delivering a wine full of tension, purity, and charm.
Tasting Note
The 2021 vintage offers aromas of crisp green apple, lemon zest, almond blossom, and a touch of wet stone. On the palate, it’s lively and mineral, with a clean structure, juicy acidity, and a subtly creamy texture that adds finesse. No oak, just clarity and terroir.
About the Producer
Jean Touzot is a small family grower based in Cruzille, where he farms about 14 hectares with care and restraint. His wines are honest, precise, and showcase the potential of the Mâconnais—especially lesser-known sites like ‘Les Parettes’, where limestone-rich soils produce Chardonnay of remarkable freshness.
