Cabernet Franc – Vin de France – France
Madame de Montespan (2024) is a rare and surprising Blanc de Noirs, crafted exclusively from 100% Cabernet Franc grapes harvested from 60-year-old vines. This white wine, made from black grapes, presents a clear and bright color, offering an aromatic profile that is both exotic and refined. The nose opens with unexpected aromas of fresh pear and white flowers, finishing with a distinctive hint of mango. On the palate, the wine is characterized by its remarkable freshness and a rich, harmonious texture—a result of seven months of aging in one-year-old French oak barrels.
Produced in a very limited edition of only 1,400 bottles, this wine is a testament to the innovation and heritage of Château Trianon. It offers a unique tasting experience that combines the structure of old-vine Cabernet Franc with the elegance of a premium white wine. It is an exceptional choice for those seeking something truly original, pairing beautifully with sophisticated fish dishes, poultry, or serving as a gastronomic aperitif.
About the estate Château Trianon has deep historical roots dating back to the 17th century and is located just outside the medieval village of Saint-Émilion. In 2000, the estate was purchased and revitalized by Dominique Hébrard, former co-owner of Château Cheval Blanc. Under his direction, Trianon has been transformed into a modern Grand Cru estate with a focus on precision and elegance. While primarily known for its Saint-Émilion Grand Cru, the estate uses its oldest parcels and gravelly-clay soils to create boutique cuvées like Madame de Montespan, pushing the boundaries of traditional Bordeaux winemaking.
